Pong
A modern take on the bat-and-ball classic
How to play Pong
Move your paddle with the arrow keys, the mouse, a gamepad stick or the on-screen arrows. Hit the ball back, and score when it slips past the other paddle.
About this game
Pong is the game that started it all: two paddles, one ball and a very simple rule. Keep the ball in play, send it past your opponent and win the rally. Our version keeps that purity but adds a smooth, responsive paddle so your shots go exactly where you aim.
It is a great pick when you have two minutes to fill. Rallies start slow and build up, so early points are forgiving while long rallies turn into a genuine test of reaction time and nerve at the back of the court.
Tips and strategies
- Aim with the edge of the paddle - hitting with the corner sends the ball off at a sharper angle.
- Stay near the middle of your side so you can reach both corners in time.
- Watch the ball, not your paddle; your hands will follow automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the original arcade Pong?
No. It is our own browser reworking of the bat-and-ball idea: same simple rules, new code, smoother paddle control and a version that runs in any modern browser.
Can two people play?
This version is single-player against the computer paddle. If you want local multiplayer, try Grid Bite or the two-player support in other games in the arcade.
Is Pong free to play?
Yes. Pong is completely free, needs no account or download, and there are no in-app purchases or loot boxes anywhere on ILikeFish.Space.
Can I play Pong offline?
Yes, once the site has loaded, the progressive web app caches the page so it keeps working without a connection - handy on planes, trains and patchy Wi-Fi.
