What this is
ILikeFish.Space is a small, deliberately non-intrusive arcade: no accounts, no purchases, no ad-stuffed pages. We are looking for small HTML5 games — the kind of thing one or two people build for the love of it — and we are happy to share the advertising revenue a game brings in.
You keep the rights to your game. We get permission to host and display it. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
What you get
- A share of the ad revenue your game earns. The exact split, the payout schedule and the minimum threshold are agreed in writing before your game goes live.
- A proper page for your game — its own URL, description, controls, tips and FAQ, not just an iframe on a list.
- Your name or studio credited on that page if you want it there, including a link back to your site.
- No exclusivity. Host it anywhere else you like.
- No lock-in. Remove the game whenever you want.
Financial terms are handled privately between us — nothing about payouts, banking or earnings is ever published on this site.
What we ask of you
- You own the game, or have the rights to share it. Art, audio and code included.
- It runs in a modern browser on desktop and, ideally, on a phone.
- It works from a self-contained folder (an
index.htmlor similar entry file plus assets). - It is family friendly — no gambling, no purchases, nothing that needs an age gate.
- It saves progress locally rather than on a server, unless we agree otherwise first.
- No ads or trackers of your own baked into the game.
- No clone assets lifted from another game, and no trademarked names.
- No external payments, loot boxes or currency that costs real money.
How the advertising works here
This matters if you care about how your game is presented, and you should. Our rules are simple and fixed:
- One ad box per page, always outside the play area, always labelled “Advertisement”.
- Nothing inside your game. No interstitials, no pop-unders, no banners over the canvas, no auto ads.
- Ads collapse away when unfilled, so the layout does not leave empty boxes.
- No ads on error, offline or policy pages.
If we ever add in-game ads (Google's H5 Games Ads), it will be rewarded ads only — something the player chooses to watch for a bonus — with a hard cap of one per session, and only if you opt in. A player must always be able to keep playing with no ad at all.
How to submit
- Package your game in a folder with its entry file and assets.
- Open an issue on the GitHub repository with the title “Game submission: <name>”, a short description, the controls, and how you would like to be credited. You can attach a ZIP there.
- If you would rather not post it publicly, say so in the issue and we will sort out a private channel.
- We will test it, check it fits the rules above, and publish it with its own page if it does.
- Before it goes live we agree the revenue share in writing.
Questions are welcome through the contact page.
Creator questions
How much can I earn?
It genuinely depends on how many people play. A small arcade earns modest advertising revenue per visit, so honest expectations matter: this is pocket money for a hobby game, not a salary. The split is agreed before publishing, and we would rather you know that up front.
When would I get paid?
Advertising revenue is paid to us by Google with a delay and only above a threshold, so creator payouts follow that same lag. The exact schedule and minimum amount are part of the written agreement.
Do you take ownership of my game?
No. You grant permission to host and display it. You keep the copyright and you can request removal whenever you like.
Will you put ads inside my game?
Not without your explicit agreement, and even then only rewarded ads the player chooses to watch. Interstitials are off the table.
Can I submit a game I made for another portal?
Usually yes, as long as the other portal's terms do not forbid it and you hold the rights. We do not ask for exclusivity.
